Didn't hunt, but was at my place from about 11-4. Drizzle and about 48 degrees, no wind. Really made me think they would be moving. I was doing some work and had my 6 year old with me, but figured I'd see something moving. Saw a group of turkeys on the way out, but that was it.
I think Tuesday may be prime-time. Trying to figure out how to work either a morning or evening hunt into my schedule.

Saw little activity north of Cuero; one doe and one narrow-rack 8-point. Oilfield equipment and a house with a pack of barking dogs half a mile away didn't help.

Deer haven't really started moving yet.
Hopefully the cool weather will bring them in
For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Ok, kinda glad I didn't go out then. My wife would have really given me some grief if I would have gone out and gotten skunked too. I am thinking the next two days the deer will be moving. Still can't get out but will live vicariously through those of you who can....

Hunt county had 2 buck and a doe at the feeder 15 minutes after it spun this morning. The 6 pt was small/young and not AR so shot the 120lb spike. Hadn't seen any deer at the feeder in the past month so seeing 3 was great.

Was in Hill Country south of Lampasas Sat eve. Lease partner saw 6 does at his stand, who were skittish. Nothing he cared to take. I saw 5 doe, who went right by the stand on a mission to get somewhere which I'm assuming was the tank at the end of the dry creek.
