the rut is ongoing and has been... I've seen them chasing for the past 3 weeks. last week we drove up on a nice 8 point bedded down with his lady friend. she got up but stayed close but as soon as he couldnt see her through the brush he got up and chased her around. two weeks ago I was filling feeders at 11 in the morning and didnt even notice the doe with a mature buck and a yearling buck following them both until I was within 15 yards of them

I would love to have daily updates. I'm headed that way Thurs..Hope I haven't missed it. Any word on rut activity around Ozona? Has not happened. Young bucks showing interest but the big boys just grazing close by. Neighbor is still there and will update me daily so I can make the trip when it starts.

84 degrees today. No rut activity what so ever.

We hunt the northern part of Crockett co and have seen a little rut activity. Still doesn't seem like its near full blown yet. Was there for 7 days after thanksgiving and saw a lot of buck scent checking feeders.

36 degrees this morning with a lot more deer movement today.

I hunt north of Ozona on 190 near 163, one hunter shot mid 140's and i have seen 3 in the 130's. Lots of doe.
