does anybody know how the deer are reacting to this hot weather? Im in Parker County and it seemed like right after the rut hit the weather got back into the 80's. I was hoping to hunt this week and weekend but don't know what to expect since I haven't been out in a couple weeks

Most activity, especially breeding activity is occuring at night. I have seen a few bucks at dusk and dawn, but again, too hot for daytime movement of any significance.
How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

I'm seeing plenty of activity during the day, even with this hot weather.

I went out this weekend and with the clear skies, warm weather and bright moon there was very little to no day time movement!

We killed this 5 footer on Saturday. IN DECEMBER!!
If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

Went over the weekend in Runnels County and saw very few deer. I think it was a combination of the moon and the heat.

Exactly why I wear the snake boots all year long.
Funny thing about getting older: Your eyesight starts getting weaker but your ability to see through people's BS gets much better.

I had one 2.5 yr old walking under my stand yesterday evening in Oklahoma. They are moving, but not much in the open.

I'm getting tired of the local weather folks calling this warm, dry weather beautiful. We need some weather folks who deer hunt.
