Did this guy last night, messed up on a few spots like when I put the face back on the skull, I need lotsof practice before they start looking good but this one didn't turn out too bad I don't think, now just to let it dry

I like that you did a dead mount on the green winger. Keep it up!

It's actually suppose to be a flying mount when its all done, I couldn't get it how I wanted unless I hung it upside down

I'd leave it. Tape and all.
On a real note... good job. Get some pics up when he's all done.

I was about to also commend you on the "dead" mount and then after looking again I thought "maybe that is not what he was going for after all".
The only thing for sure is that it is 1,000 X better than ANYTHING I could EVER do.
Congratulations, keep up the good work. I wish I was talented enough to mount my birds. Heck for that matter I wish I just had some time to go hunting.

After looking at it and hearing what everyone is saying I'm thinking this one might be better off as a dead mount, I have a few more birds in the fridge to practice with before I actually order molds and make one worthy of hanging on the wall. Thanks guys, I'm going to do another one today and post it up.

IMO, it's a dead mount now. The way you've flattened it out, it'll never look right as a flying mount. Still a nice first bird.

Make sure you tape and pin all the wing feather the way you want them or they will separate. Tape, poster board and screen mesh. Use the screen mesh on top and cardboard on bottom with push pins. Put the tape on the long edges of the poster board and let it hang over a bit to hold the feathers in place from the bottom while your pinning the top.
