Here's your typical out of state license questions
Ill be flying in from Florida late on a Wednesday night. We plan to make it out on a hunt on Thursday morning (12/13/12..i know about the split) and Friday morning. My flight doesnt come into DFW until around 1015PM on that Wednesday. How can i obtain all of my necessary endorsments ( both stamps, federal and state) as well as the obvious, out of state license, in time for my hunt Thursday?
I lived in Denton for 21 years, so i dont need to be versed on all of the requirements i am familiar with them, im just not sure if i will be able to get it all done in time for that Thursday morning hunt
Any Help is always appreciated.

you can do it all at any store that sells licenses or you can do it online while still in Florida.

The Federal stamp is good in all 50 states, so if you have it for Florida than you have it for Texas. Online purchase or buy at Walmart which many are open 24 hours is not a problem for the state of Texas requirements. Cost should not be as high as some might think. If you are hunting waterfowl and not deer then this one plus state migratory bird endorsement and Federal Stamp should be all that is needed Non-resident 5-Day Special Hunting (Type 157): $48 Legal for any period of 5 consecutive days (valid hunting dates will be printed on the license when issued). Valid to hunt: exotic animals, all legal game birds (except turkeys), all nongame animals, squirrel, javelina and alligator (not valid for other game animals, NOT VALID FOR DEER). Stamp endorsement requirements apply. http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/regulations/fish_hunt/licenses/hunt_licenses/http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/business/licenses/online_sales/list_available_online/index.phtml

If you wait and try to hit a 24 hour walmart when you fly in, my fear is that you might run into a situation where no one at the store has a clue how to run the machine for your license that late at night.
Yeah, don't listen to me. I'm just an idiot.
Lol. Duckbill that was funny! The dude up top has already taken lots of bone before this deer, both mule and whitetail.

I have been in those shoes, and I strongly recommend that you do it online. That is one of those things not to leave to chance.

Also, you can get a duck stamp at the post office...

Ive got plenty of family who could walk into the denton county post office and grab a fed stamp, but I can do that here. I dont believe anybody else can buy a license in my absence, online is my best bet, and will make the drive from dfw to the lease more relaxing and enjoyable...been several years since ive been able to make the drive.

You can call them and get everything over the phone and get a confirmation number that you'll use as reference in case you get checked or you can print everything once you purchase everything online.
OMG, this is the best slumber party ever!
