Credit where credit is due.
I'm absolutely loving my new GW lightweight waders. We'll see how they last in the long run but these are easy to walk in, light weight and I have room to layer up if needed. I've had cheapos and $250 waders but these are at the top of the list.
FYI: Academy is under new management. I'm thinking that's the reason for the increase in the wader quality. I'm hoping the decoys are next.
Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

I had a pair for 3 seasons and never had a problem, still have them actually they just get cold in the feet with no insulation that's why I only use them early in the year.

It's funny, I bought the GW lightweight waders as a knock around pair, and they've proven to be my go to's for early season, over an above my other high dollar rig. Going strong in season 3. Bueno.

I snagged a half dozen of the carver series greenwings a couple weeks ago. We will see how the paint holds up, but they move on calm water very nicely

I have bought two pairs in the last 3 years. They keep getting holes in them. I figure two pairs of those canvas gw's are as much as one pair of hodges neoprene. Niether are the best brand but they are both in my price range. Will go with the neoprene after christmas

My brother has a pair of their 5 mils, and they appeared to be really decent quality waders, all the extra pockets we need and everything. I wouldn't hesitate to give them a shot, especially since you know they're gonna put them on clearance come late season.
And where are these coupons? Never seen such a thing.

It was right before season last year and I forgot to get me a new pair of waders as the year before I ruined a pair. The only place I had time to go was Academy so I got the GW 5 mil pair for like $100 and said well they won't last but they will start the season till I can grab some better ones...............they are the only waders I have had that lasted more than 1 season because I am still using them this year. I don't care for GW stuff but in this instance they have worked just fine.

I have had a pair of the GW stockingfoot neoprene waders for like 3 seasons now. Never had any problem with them other than getting cold feet.
They would still be in service had I not stepped across a stick that was about as sharp as a spear... Poked a pretty good hole in them. At least it was early season and the water was not too cold.
I'll be getting another pair before the 2nd split starts. $69.99 at Academy...

I have a pair of the 5mil and they have held up well. On my third season with them. I like the velcro straps over the snaps too.

i had a pair of the 3mm neoprene game winners and the seams started tearing on the first hunt i took them on....took them back and just got a refund..i like how they fit and kept me warm but was disappointed that they started tearing...have to keep searching for a reasonable price of neoprenes...possibly a pair of cabela brands?

I bought a pair of the bootfoots for $50 on black friday. they seemed pretty comfy when i tried em on, but the old lady made me put them under the tree, so the true test will come after Christmas. The only thing i was disappointed with is that there is no pocket on the front.
I don't carry change, but I love breaking bills!
