I got selected for the Dec 16-20, 2012 deer hunting period. Just wondering if anyone has been to the youth hunts this past two weekends. Any info on the hunting would be appreciated. Also, if anyone is going to be there during the Dec. 16-20 hunt, let me know. Maybe we can compare notes.

Man you got lucky. I hear there are some monsters in there.

They just had two youth hunts the past two weekends. Thats why i'm posting to see how it went. Seems like nobody here attended those hunts.

Those are good dates to be down there and hopefully you'll catch some rut activity and deer movement if we get some cold weather.
With the hot weather we've been having I doubt there was much action down there the past two weekends.
In south Texas those bucks hunker down during the day and come out at night until it gets cold.

Congrats on the draw. That is the hunt that everyone would like to draw. Keep us posted on how it goes!

I am headed there next week can't wait. I am gonna sit over a water source for 5 days. I will let you know whats happening down there

Ill give everyone the scoop on how it went when I get to it. We are still deciding if we are going to drive each morning to the chap from our lease. It's 26 miles away.
