I shot a 10 point and had the iScope filming when it happened. I made a video to show pictures of deer I passed before finally finding this big boy. 18 years of hunting and I've only killed 1 buck over 8 points, then I saw this beast! Hope you enjoy the video as much as I do.

So you aim by looking at the camera instead of looking through your scope? Interesting idea...

Did the phone fly out of the holder at the shot?

Thanks!

Yep, you look at your phone screen. It's weird at first, but it's great. Both eyes open, no squinting, bigger view, I like it. There's a review in the general section on the iScope. It comes with 2 rubber bands to strap the phone to the holder, and yes, you need them. My 7 mag made the phone jump out. That's what you see in the video right after the shot. Only thing I don't like about it is that you can't jack another shell with a bolt action unless you take the iScope off. But with a different rifle (semi auto, short bolt, etc) it would be fine.

Great buck and cool perspective! Good shooting! You should be proud of that one!

Thanks that was cool to watch and a good deer too! Looks like you put a high shoulder shot on him. Did he run much?

It wasn't really high, about mid height, plus I was way up in the air, so it shot downward. I shot him more forward than I woulda liked, but you can see I still busted his heart. He still ran about 80 yards before he crashed but he was hauling butt. Shot was from 28 yards away so the bullet passed through really fast.

it would have been better had the camera not fell of the gun at the shot

You have to line it up just right. I've been taking pics through my binoculars for a couple years with the iPhone, but it's hard to line up.

I wonder if the phone could be mounted on the left side so it wouldn't interfere with the bolt?

Well the phone isn't in the way, it's the set screws. There's 4 of them that are used to mount it to the scope, so they're in the way of left handed & right handed bolt action. Semi-auto or other style bolts that don't lift as high would work.

Thanks guys, biggest deer I've killed by far!
