Grew up in Memphis. My Grandfather was friends with the man that used to raise those Peabody Ducks. Did you get to see them march on or off of the elevator?

We used them live ducks as decoys on 3 individual stringers. It was deadly when the ducks flew over our hole. Plus there is no limit neither and lead was legal. Our preferred choice was side by side 12 gauge and nr 4 ammo 2 3/4. We kept our ducks in the barn with hay and cornfed. They also were allowed to watch tv with us in the livingroom. The ducks were very excited 2 hours prior to the hunt, they knew what was going on. I wished i had pics of them.
Those were the days, that would make jeff foyles blush...
It was very normal to come home with 50-75 mallards in the trunk per shooter (typically 3 shooters) Those were the days......

Forgot to mention, the hunts took place in the 80's in belgium and holland.
