Ive never bought guns from a gun show and have a couple questions. When you buy a gun from a booth do you have to go through the whole ffl transfer and paperwork? Also, do they only accept cash or credit card too?

If buying from a dealer, yes & yes.
I really hate to do what I am about to do, because it will be very painful for you.

If they are a licensed dealer you will have to fill out a 4473. Most accept cash and card but give a discount for cash.

Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

Not always, occasionally a private seller will get a table if they have several they need to sell..

Im gonna change the subject a bit. If i buy a 308 should i get an Ar10 or fal? Which one is more accurate and what barrel length for long range? Can anybody reccomend a brand?

I would think the AR-10 would be more accurate. FAL is a 308 battle rifle.

What info i gather is the fal is more reliable than the Ar 10 and the mags are alot cheaper and fail proof compared to the Ar10.

Any time you buy a gun from someone with an FFL, the 4473 has to be filled out. The license holder could lose his license and face criminal prosecution for not following the law. If you buy a gun at a gun show, or anywhere else, from a private seller (NOT an FFL holder), there is no law requiring any background checks or paperwork. That is why all the libtards are in such a tizzy about the gunshow "loophole."

The fal is similar in reliability to the AK it is more accurate than a AK, but its able to be abused more and keep on firing. The AR10 has tighter tolerances which equals out to better accuracy. Both are great guns. The one nice thing about the AR10 is you can change the upper to other calibers. The FAL is generally more affordable and mags are about 10-20 each.

Fal's are generally battle accurate. Meaning 3 inches at 100 yds. AR 10 capable of sub 1 at same distance.

I would think the AR-10 would be more accurate. FAL is a 308 battle rifle. Best advice is to find and gun range or someone you may know that owns the tactical rifle and try it out. Hate for you to spend a lot of $$ for a rifle you do not feel comfortable with.
