That song by Rhet Atkins pop in my head yesterday while huntin...I started hunting with my grand daddy's old browning 12ga a few times this season, when I first started hunting I was all about fast techy semi-auto's and still kinda am, but theres something special about this good old over/under. It takes me back to the times at the range with grandpa teaching me how to shoot. He passed away about 8 year ago and is the reason I started duck hunting. There a little more to the story but I though share this with you guys, any of you still hunt with an old passed down gun? Here's a pic of him pheasant hunting up North. Here's my hunt from yesterday, wish these gad's where green heads. Ill have to post another pic later in the season.

That's very cool. My dad has my grandfathers old duck gun. It's not even something that could be hunted with with steel shot. For the hell of it my dad took it goose hunting about 10 years ago....he had some problems but it worked. It's a model 18XX something pump...I need to check it out tomorrow. I have all a bunch of my grandfathers old duck stamps and my wife had them framed a few years back.

Awesome, man.
I started duck hunting with a gun that I inherited from my Grandpa when he passed. I didn't like the fact that it was getting scratched up and "retired" it.

I hunted with my great grandfathers over and under for years, just bought a new one this year because I didn't want to mess up his, I sure do miss hunting with him but I love the memories we made.
Two kinds of people vote democrat. Rich people that don't have to work, and poor people who don't want to work.

I hunted my first year with my granddads Remington sportsman 58 16 gauge. Love it. Then got caught in some heavy rain on a little island In the middle of a large pond. Feared I would mess up the wood and its put away now. He died when I was 2 so it's super sentimental for my mom.

I finally had a small break in school where I could read and clean guns at the same time and I pulled out my 870 that my dad gave me when I was twelve. Looking at the gun now it is a far cry from what it was when I first got it but it has a lot of character. You can almost see my thumb print and fingers on the butt stock and all of the scars from busting through briar patches trying to shoot late season pheasants in the snow. Kicking myself a little now for hunting it in the salt in Washington for a couple years since it took a hard toll on the bluing. My grandfathers guns are still at my dads waiting for my son to be old enough to use them
