My only band I ever got was thanksgiving morning 2007.



Ever since then I have to hunt every thanksgiving morning, and my wife complains every thanksgiving. And every year I have to explain why I have to go, she don't understand, but I'm going anyways, and don't try to stop me either!

I will hunt am for ducks and pm for deer, but we only have to go behind the house so it's no big deal to sneak away.

Family is heading out deer hunting tomorrow, I wanna go duck hunting but I think I better go spend some family time at the ranch and wait for the front to come in Friday. There's a nice 11 pt just begging to meet my broadhead anyways.

I'll be out Thursday afternoon and Friday morn on a lake down the road from my parents then headed to lake x for the rest of the weekend.

If I had someone to go with, I'd be out there but due to past hunts. I dont hunt by myself anymore

I prefer a solo hunt, theres something about being out there alone with just my dog that gets me. Now I don't mind bringing a buddy along and I usually do, but I really enjoy being out there alone

Zach, you need a dog bud. Never hunt alone again. Unless your dog is injured, and that really sux!

Any paw injury, my dog goes strait to vet to get it clean out good. Had too many paw injuries get bad. Good luck.

I gotta admit one of the best hunts I've ever had was on turkey day a couple years ago with an arctic front blowing in. I filled up the waders stepping into a beaver hole but hunted anyway full of water. It warmed up after 10 minutes and wasn't too bad. But we stayed a lot later than I told my wife I would. Got home late to a house full of guests. She didn't seem to care how great the hunt was. I don't hunt it anymore cuz I know me and I can't be trusted to be on time if birds are working...

I may go to my deer blind.

We have no birds in central texas.
