I'm not sure he's that big!! I'll keep you posted.
Well here is the story of my largest buck to date:
I saw this buck Saturday morning with a doe at 600+yds. Then Saturday evening I was watching 2 young bucks chasing some doe and he shows up in the wood line. It was like he was just hanging out watching the young boys do all the work, and when the time was right he'd come out and show them who was boss. Eventually he turned and disappeared into the woods. My day was done. I had hoped that he'd stay in the area, but with the rut, there was no telling. Yesterday morning started out much the same.. Young buck chasing doe all over. It's like they are just simply crazy. Once again I turned to look in the wood line and there he is again, just watching. Another young buck jumped into the picture and he was chasing the bucks around. They finally separated from the doe long enough for this deer to move out into the open. He had his sights set on her and making his move. I had now been provided the opportunity to harvest my largest buck to date. I thanked the Lord for the opportunity, and then squeezed the trigger.. What happened next I had never seen before. A young 10 pt that was running around went over to this deer which is now dead, and starts sparing with him. Not sure if he was getting his two cents in or what. That joker stood with the 'dead deer' until I was about 50 yds from them. I guess he was just totally confused.
Sorry for the long post. Thanks for reading!! God Bless!!

Great buck! Looks like a mid 140's deer from that angle.

That is a beautiful buck! I know that you are very proud and you darn well should be. It sounds like your persistence and patience paid off.

The community of Regency is at the intersection of co. rds. 433 and 432 far western Mills. Nearby is the Historic Regency Swinging Bridge that crosses the Colorado river into San Saba County.

I'd ask him if he's pregnant. He missed a s__tload of periods. I'll take "things that look like a uterus" for $200 Alex.

If you are ever down that way, go check out the bridge. If your afraid of heights close your eyes!! I think it's 70 ft or so to the river bottom

Great looking buck, I'd guess he'd go low 140's.

When I see pictures like that one I do too.
They make ammo specifically for hunting for a reason!
