Heck of a buck, congrats! I go to that ranch a half a dozen times a year to help my buddy and his dad work the pasture they lease. There are some really nice deer down there. I actually killed my biggest deer ever down there last season! Gotta love a big 8

That was my first trip there - they do have a ton of good looking deer. Heh, I hoped I'd get a shot at a big eight and got lucky enough to see that one. I'm in Plano but if I lived closer I'd be all over a regular lease on one of the pastures. As it is, I plan on making the DCR a regular once a year deal. My daughter shot a spectacular seven point while we were there, too.

B&C states that if G4 is missing take the H4/C4 measurement halfway between G3 and main beam tip fyi. I'm not a scoring expert at all... pretty much depend on the knowledge of others in that area. Those measurements are gross score obviously and were taken about 10 hrs after his demise 8-] I'll rescore him when he gets back from taxidermy and see how much shrinkage there is.

Oh, and I got excited and added 2/8 to him! hahaha He actually added up to 148 exactly.

for those who know, when scoring on b&c web site why do they want input on outside spread and tip to tip spread ?

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!
