 I am pretty darn excited about this buck! I have been seeing this deer for two years, and never dreamed he would slip up and drift by me. We had trail cam photos of him, mostly at night. But, a few during the day. So, I was hopeful. So, when I saw him emerge from the creek bed at 500 yards, I about fainted! He was really moving, searching for the next doe. He was already very stained and swollen from rut. He was seen that morning more than a mile away. So, I was lucky big time. He is a 5.5 year old Rolling Plains Buck, and I'm glad to say he is mine! Baylor County, Texas is where I go hunting each year. I am not sure what he will score, and really don't care. Not why I hunt. It was a great experience, and that is enough for me. He was a really beautiful animal. 11-13-12, so 13 is luckier that it used to me to me. Lots of prayers were sent up in hopes of bagging him. And, my wife didn't even question me when I was leaving for the taxidermist !
