It seems like the rut started a little earlier this season in north central Texas I hunt in hood, Parker,Erath, and Palo Pinto counties and all the deer I was getting pics of and the places I saw a lot last year just seem dead, is anyone else having this problem?

Yes. Not seeing crap at my feeder or on camera. I go look at the neighbors field and and they are all over it at dusk. They aren't going to his feeder either.

moved my camera on to a trail 100 yards from my feeder and threw corn on the ground and they were on it that night. they are all still nocturnal i guess.

Williamson County.

Very boring in my stands in Comanche county. Seeing some pics at night but not a sighting during legal hours.

I am getting a decent number of pics at night at the feeders and surprisingly a few during the morning hours as well. This is the 1st year in the last few that I've been getting some consistent pictures during hunting light. My problem is that they are usually showing up while I'm at work, during the week. I'm in SW Young County and have been feeding year round.

Not seeing the number of bucks that we normally have.

This evening saw 36 deer, only 6 were bucks. The rest were does and fawns.

Our fawn crop was like 90%.

We needed it cause for the past 3 years we didn't have much of one

For it is not the quarry that we truly seek, but the adventure.

Same in Throckmorton County. The bucks went nocturnal as soon as the shooting started. We need some really cold weather.

Not happy for y'all BUT I'm glad to hear we aren't the only ones. We're in Foard county and corn is piled up under 13 feeders on 2000 acres and we don't have many doe. We still have bucks coming in at night but I think the last 2 year drought has really messed things up. It's hard to get excited for the rut when you have very few doe. I haven't seen a deer the last two weekends I was there and that makes it not much fun but I'm headed back tonight for a good time around the campfire.

Same thing in Runnels county, EVERY game cam pic is at night.

I have to wear sunglasses into the woods, because the deer would recognize me, an just surrender with their hooves up.

usually in my experiences. when they stop coming to feeders is because something is chasing them around and the does that frequent your feeders have been pushed to neighboring properties so the rut is more than likely in full gear where you are at, that`s what usually happens is some people hunt feeders year around but when the rut kicks in you have to hunt those trails leading from one property to the next that`s where the bucks will be traveling searching for does. I usually just grab a chair and set in some brush by a trail with the wind in my face and watch for deer cruising and have had pretty good success.

In Hamilton County we had lots of small bucks moving (3-6 non-legal) on every sit. Had decent numbers of does moving, but almost all had fawns with them. If there was anything green (wheat, oats, etc) in the evening that was where they were headed.

Didn't see anything this morning again but the wife kept me up late last night so I had a real hard time staying awake in the stand but it was well worth it! My cousin saw the monster we've been after but he couldn't stop him to get a shot he was after something (probably the Tinks 69 buck bomb I set off the evening before at another stand) but now I know his favorite routes gonna go set up a miss November decoy with some select golden estrus on it in the morning and see if he comes in and stops for me, I'm hoping he will be dead by 7:30 tomorrow morning. A friend went to my Ranch this morning and said he saw 8 deer one buck that was a 4pt but outside his ears so I'm sitting where he was now if I don't get a good buck mabey at least ill get a look at this strange buck and see what the deal is, if he's a cull I'll try to set up a kid or someone who's never got one on him.

Similar for us in Palo Pinto. Game camera showed doe this week at 2 am with no moon and 30 degrees, perfect grazing conditions. There have been stray little ones by blinds during hunting hours.

I hunt in two counties-Fayette and De Witt.

In DWC, I saw a lot of nice bucks on camera up till about a week before open season. Now I don't see any. All the activity is well past dark until ~4:00 AM, and it's nothing but a couple of spikes and several does. Morning hunting until ~9:00 AM I generally see two or three does; that's all. Beyond 9:00, there's too much ambient noise (mainly dogs) to see anything. There's not much hunting around me judging by gunshots and I see very few carcasses on the road.

On opening day in FC, I saw one small buk slip by out of the corner of my eye. Last week, saw a few on the rut ~1K feet from my stand; nothing near me. Today, two does. Interestingly, my brother called from his stand about 9:30 AM today and said when the two does at the feeder left, he was coming down. 45 minutes later, I called since he hadn't made it to the truck. He said thery're still there. An hour later, he said to bring the truck since deer were still there. He said there was six or eight continually in the field of view of his stand. One spike, one young legal 8-point; the rest does. He passed on the two bucks since he prefers taking older deer.

I'm not seeing much in south Taylor county. Had tons of picks prior to the season and since only a couple does and yearlings. Nothing is touching the corn. I took the advice of several and started hunting trails and in the woods and creek bottom and nada. Hope it gets better. Good luck to all.

Stop hunting feeders, and start hunting Acorns. Move around and rattle. Haven't seen one deer at feeders, but have seen 30+ bucks moving, rattling, and grunting.
