I have the opportunity to hunt in outside of Glen Rose the first of December and wanted to check on when the rut starts around those parts.

Now! Last weekend of bow season the bucks where on the prowl, called in 9 and saw 12 bucks, the does wasn't ready but the bucks where. The last week or so seems like the does where locked down and not much moving at all except young bucks. May have a small rut in Dec if some of those that didn't get bred the first time come back in estrus, that happens about 28 days after there first cycle, I stand to be corrected. Seemed like everything happened around there about a week to 10 days earlier this year than usual, rut normally starts in around the second week of Nov. I hunt in Nemo just outside of Glenrose.
