I will say IMO that a lot on the forum seem to underestimate the measurements on some of these guys. Mass and length are king.

I will say IMO that a lot on the forum seem to underestimate the measurements on some of these guys. Mass and length are king. You're close, Length is King, then mainbeams, then mass and the lastly spread.

When I said length, I meant all of it, points and mainbeams. Didn't even mention width since it's just one measurement and really only a difference maker on something 22"+.

Outfitter and it was suppose to be a “managed hunt” I scored off hoof 135-140 he said 133 and I could take it. after measuring it he said that he had no idea it was that big and got 143 I was low then saw the beams where much better then I had down. Great 8pt you for sure got a steal!!!! Can't wait to see the mount pic Congrats again

That is your line? I have always liked that one. There are a few sig lines on here that have stuck in my mind and that is one of them. Funny stuff.

I will have taxidermist score as well to see what he comes up with
The biologist/ guide that has been doing this for years had the tape out called out numbers to the other guide and myself on our phone calculators and when we both hit equal we both had 143. Not arguing with anyone on here either way I am happy with the buck but my guess when I was looking at him alive I had 135-140 no way this buck is lower than 140” he the guide saw 133 inches on the hoof before I shot I am positive he is not happy that a 143 got let go for 1500 dollars as managment bucks are 1500, 130-139 2500, 140-149 3500 I paid 1500
Nice buck for sure congrats, I would for sure go broke at those price rates if I hunted one of STX deer.

I think he's about 143 I think the way your holding him makes him look a little smaller than he is I am just huge  great guess by the way... How did you come up with that score? ha ha what do i get for winning

My taxidermist text me and said he scored it 146” said he measured it twice. I asked him for the numbers and he said when he has time he will send them to me. so my guide scored it 143” my taxidermist scored it 146”
