I'm looking for every edge I can find. There are several phone and computer apps that use weather & moon phase to predict the best hunting days.
I've tried 1 PC based program & 2 Android apps. They are convincing with their dates and sales hype but none of the 3 agree on any given date. In fact, the best days on one are the worst on another.
Have I fallen sucker to several bottles of snake oil? Is there any real basis for these predictions? Have any of you had experience with one that really works?

Solunar scheduling is like biorhythms. There is no actual science to it. No studies have confirmed that solunar tables predict terrestrial animal daily movements. The reason why they various programs and apps don't agree is because it is all hokus pokus.

iSolunar gets a lot of recommendations, IF you use an iPhone.
Many apps require an internet connection. Where I hunt, even phone coverage is spotty.
On the plus side, I can't think of a bad time to be outdoors.

I like the iSolunar myself! Thanks, fellas! iSolunar will work in areas without reception provided that you look up the location BEFORE you go -- only the location service needs to access a server so once it gets stored and you can pull it up even without cell service and the app will calculate the times for any date. I been using iSolunar and happy with it. Can't remember others we used but settled on this one. Twice I have taken deer during the middle of the day. The only reason I stayed out that long was iSolunar showed that to be the most active part of the day. I don't know if it really works or not but that's 2 deer I have brought into camp when everyone else was sitting around waiting on the afternoon hunt.

ISolunar worked for me this past Sunday. Was gonna get out of the blind but ISolunars time said that the peak time was only an hour longer so I stuck it out and busted a doe!!

I just purchased the ScoutLook app for Android. It is a great app, but it requires you to log in each time you use it.
It will be pretty worthless to me at my lease. There is no data connection & the login won't have a server to connect to.
I don't understand why a paid app needs to log in each time. I just emailed the developer with that question.
Not many of us looking for the big bucks in Dallas city limits.
