Has anyone ever seen/heard of a black mouth cur being used for birds (retriever, flusher, etc) ?

believe it or not, i had a bmc/catahoula cross that would trail birds and point, hold a little while before flushing. not common tho. i was constantly releasing birds and training dogs then
