My Dad and I were fortunate enough to be drawn for the Gemsbok hunt at Mason Mountain WMA this year!

Let me tell ya'll this was nothing like we expected! This was an extremely hard, yet extremely fun hunt. We put over 100 miles on the Jeep we were riding around in just trying to find a Shooter Gemsbok.

I was finally able to harvest the Female Gemsbok on the last morning of the hunt. She weighed 350 field dressed and measured out 38 inched on both horns.

Congrats on the draw and hunt. Gemsbok IMO are the coolest of the African exotic game animals that have been imported, love the coloration and those long horns.
