Finally start getting some good deer coming in . Last year we got a 150 class 13 point and we had a few good ones coming to the feeders this year . Been hunting this property for around 5 years with permission .

Two weeks ago landowner dies . We talk to his son and he says keep on hunting smile

Well yesterday while my dad was in the stand he got a call saying we need to get our stuff off the property hammer middle of deer season and they starting to rut . Had an awesome time and enjoyed hunting there without leasing , but it still sucks frown there goes deer season and that expensive out of state tags

Maybe the son sees dollar signs and is going to put it out to lease. If so, I'm surprised he didn't offer it to you and your Dad first. It's tough losing a place to hunt.

Son knows nothing about the deer taken off this property . Won't be leased for hunting . Not sure what they are doing with it

I wonder if the son is the only child. If not, then the land is about to be fought over by other family members for money.

Sorry to hear that. Did you offer to lease it from them for the rest of the season?

I had the exact same thing happen to me a few years back.
We were hunting a place for around three years that we hunted for free with permission and had taken a 170 B&C off of it. The guy let us hunt but told us he may have to tell us to get our stuff out at any time as the property was for sale.
Same thing happened about two weeks into the season we had to get off the property just when the rut was starting.

We can't complain as we had some free hunting for trophy deer for three years.
Take up fishing for the rest of the year and start looking for a lease and be thankful for the years you had.

Once i learned that i didn't "NEED" to kill something, and that if i did kill something all the fun stopped and work began, i was a much better hunter.

oh man that totally sucks. Not very nice of the new landowners to just throw you off like that. I hope you find another one pretty soon.

If we were able to lease it I'm sure my dad would have mentioned it.

What really sucks is I've still yet to shoot a decent buck and was hoping this year would be the first year . Boy was I wrong ! Last years 150 class my dad shot . Oh well [censored] happens

Yup 6 stands and 6 feeders . We could try at some public land I guess but with no scouting or anything done its a shot in the dark hammer And I had so much hopes for this season . hammer hammer hammer

And I've all ready passed on deer waiting for a good buck thinking I got plenty of time to harvest for some meat hammer
