Nothing better than some hot pickled eggs and cold beer for breakfast when you are out and about hunting.
Any good recipes out there? I've done eggs once or twice just using old jalepeno pickle juice. Figured there is a way to get better results. Have had some good sausages, never tried making them myself though.
Shoot. Eat. Repeat.

Ingredients 12 hard-boiled eggs, peeled 1 large empty sterilized glass jars 4 cups vinegar 1 teaspoon salt 2 medium onions, chopped 1/3 cup sugar 1 tablespoon pickling spices Directions Put the peeled hardboiled eggs in the large jar. Boil the remaining ingredients together for 5 minutes. Pour over the eggs in the jar. Cover; leave on counter overnight. Keeps in refrigerator for weeks.

Used to be a galvanized tin beer joint in Taylor, Texas where a person could get pickled turkey gizzards. They tasted good but their looks was a challenge.

hey visigoth, would that beer joint been the Taylor cafe? eat in there 5-6 times a year, they make turkey sausage, figured maybe they pickled the gizzrds, not sure I would choke down a pickled gizzrd when I have a plate 'o brisket and sausage infront of me....

This is how I roll.....I alternate between the silver bullet & Shiner Bock in the evening, pickled eggs & coffee in the morning. Between deer blinds & the bunk house, someone usually yells at me

Sounds like you have at least 2 of the basic food groups covered. Shiner Bock and pickled eggs.
