I'll agree with you on your score guess, but disagree on age. That deer is a mature 5.5. Nice buck. I am much older than you and I have not lost that blood/antler lust...lol

I'd also disagree on age, that buck has a deep chest.

Good looking buck! Been hunting there 20 years and love it! You can always spot an Edwards County deer by the short nose on them. The first pic is most telling.

Pretty old buck. Nice pics! iPhone through the binoculars does the trick until I get a camera with a good lens/decent zoom capabilities (Christmas maybe?).

Looks a little older.. Can't really tell but it looks to me like he may have already had the best set of horns he'll have, might be going downhill? Either way good lookin buck, love the brows ..

5.5 120" I like that first pic. I have not perfected the Iphone through binoculars yet. Its hard to match it up I tried with scope though

I've got him at 4.5 (he may very well be older) and I think he'll crack 120. At this point in my hunting career, I'd just assume let him walk and invite a friend who hasn't ever killed a buck this size to take him. If I was still 16, it wouldn't have thought twice to drop him, but at 23, I've killed bigger and I don't have the same level of blood/antler lust that I used to. So I popped a doe 30 minutes after he had left (I'm a wildlife manager by degree). I think we all purrdy much agree he needs to go down, but I think you are someone's good friend. Thats a great gesture of friendship and you seem wise for an ol' man of 23 yrs. Let your buddy take him out this year he needs to go.

good 8 point, and 5.5 easy. I would love to see one like that one show up at my place in Rocksprings but with small tracts and 10 guns per acre not going to happen any time soon.

Really nice buck, gotta say I deffinately think he is 5 or more years old. How big a place are you on? I know way too many people hunting 25-50 that see big deer out there yet it always seems the neighbor gets them. That deer is a walking target, Id a shot him... and im at the ripe old age of 26, your a mear whiper snapper at 23
It's hell eatin em live
