Last weekend was a perfect weekend to start out my hunting career. The weather was nearly perfect (could've been a few degrees cooler). Here are a some pictures from opening weekend. 10 minutes into legal shooting time, Mike shot this beauty.  Mike's nephew is proud of his uncle for getting the first kill of the season at the lease:  Django got in on the fun and decided he likes the taste of deer legs:   Evening hunt on opening day, I was able to shoot my first deer. About a 2 1/2 year old spike. On friday, during target practice I found out I was left eye dominant, so I was pretty nervous shooting, nevertheless with my left hand. Turns out, I have pretty good aim. Shot this guy right in the lower neck. Went straight down in the feeder.   And as tradition goes (or so I'm told), it was time to get blood on myself, and baptize myself as a legitimate hunter.
