The rancher is throwing cubes at 'em. Right by my feeder! Well, it is his land and I'm blessed to be hunting it. Can't complain.... LOL.

Will he let you fence it off? We have the same issue. Fortunately we were allowed to fence an area around it.

Is that Tommy Lee Jones? Heard he has a big ranch in San Saba. Not him in the pic, I don't know if he still has his ss ranch, but I got hammered with him one time at chapshaws in San Saba, long time ago... Pretty funny story actually...

LOL - not Tommy Lee Jones, but yes, he has a cattle ranch in San Saba. Very rarely is he spotted around town anymore. And from what I hear, he doesn't like to be bothered by the locals. Ha-ha.
Nope, the rancher won't let us build pens. But it's not too bad. We have a few stands/feeders. If we see cattle at one feeder, we move to the next assuming wind conditions are ok.

every cow i have given range cubes follows me like a lost puppy. i bet it is feeding time but i bet the feeding didnt take place right there at your feeder. That man has some DEEP pocketes if he feedes his cows range cubes for supper everyday.

Wow,,I'm a rancher and a hunter, and I wouldn't think of feeding cows anywhere close to a feeder. In fact, I move my cows out of the main hunting pasture a week or two before season starts.

Tommy Lee pays guys to do that kinda work. I got to see one of the elk and a few culls that came off his place last year. The elk had double main beams on both sides!

He's probably trying to lead them away from your feeder

We had a couple of does that would come in with the cattle when I would call them up. They would eat those cubes like nobody's business.
