I've been putting in for the TPWD draw hunts for 8 years. Several different categories and always the hardest ones to draw. This year I finally won one.

Now I'm scouring all over the interwebs for information on the Devils River SNA as it pertains to exotics and camping.

From the looks of things, Exotics out here = auodads. Not sure if there is anything else, but at least one report said there were Thompson Temple goats too. (Those don't interest me.)

Anyone have any experience out here hunting, camping, and/or hiking?
Do you know if my hunting partner (wife) can also come along with me or do I have to go solo?

I got drawn on the first hunt they had there. They had Aoudad, Corsican sheep, a few Axis, and a lot of Sika back then. Some of those may have been thinned out. If you were the only one on the entry you will have to hunt alone. Most of these hunts you can't take anyone else.

I was on that first hunt as well. Corsican sheep and Aoudad were everywhere. I killed a Axis. Would love to go back. Was a great time. You do have to work to get to the game. We were assigned to a area. A group of guys assigned to our area from Houston left the first day, because they didnt see anything. The second day, we were loading up on meat. Hope you have a good trip.
