I've got a hunt scheduled for this weekend up there and curious what everyone has been seeing in the area. Are the deer moving much during daylight? Any signs of pre-rut? Any helpful insight is appreciated.

Im in childress and seen a good 12 and 3 other 10's that all 4 of them had already broken off there G3's on one side or the other. Most of the bucks that I had seend were still grouped up in 2's or 3's, they are starting to split up. Was seeing deer up till about 9:30-10am and in the evenings started to see deer around 5pm was alittle slow on are place last weekend, seen alittle fallowing but not any hard core chasing they are not far from it though..Good luck with your hunt this weekend

Thats about the same story for us in Childress, several bucks already broken up pretty bad and just the young bucks showing interest in chasing does.

I feel more like I do now then I did when I got here.
