I have recently moved to Dripping Springs from north Tx and would like to find someone who knows the rivers to hunt here. I have all my own gear, kayak, dog , ect. Im not looking to encroach on somebodys spots just have somebody who also enjoys the sport and spreading a little knowledge to fellow hunters. I have taken some complete strangers from the forum out to some of my spots for no other reason but to meet folks and share an opportunity to have a succesfull hunt. I hope that good karma returns to me in a way similar. Thanks guys and happy hunting. PM me if you can help at all.

Load up your Kayak and hit the road. You are bound to come scross something. Asking folks to share what they know on public is like asking to sleep with a mans wife.

hell head south you are just two and half hours from Rockport and Aransas pass. Plenty of good hunting down there and all along the rest of the coast.

I would start with a map with all Texas Lakes and Rivers. Pick a stretch that looks ducky. Find out what county it's in, then call the court house and be real nice to whomever you talk to. Try contacting The Brazos River Authority and The Trinity River Authority as well. Just some ideas. Good luck.

Google public hunting lakes and corps land, then use google earth or a good map. I'd help out if closer, but I'm 3 hours from you.

I called Austin yesterday and wasted a nice guy named Jacob's time. He was really helpful and gave me a few names of lakes to look at that I hadn't thought of, and that's in central Tx, so you're way better off than me.
