How would a man go about getting on a lease on University land around Barnhart or Big Lake? I work there all the time and it just seems too convienent not to look into.

Most of the time University lands lease out the hunting and grazing rights to one person or family... On that note, on there website you can find all the land they own along with the persons last name that has the grazing/leasing rights...etc. The best way would be to talk with the landman with University that covers that county... Send me a pm if you want more info... Live and work on pipeline in Big Lake and West to ft stockton and up to Midland. and Down to Iraan. Hope this helps if you need some more info let me know.

Most of those ranches were owned by one family who donated them to the University to get out of the taxes, but kept the grazing and hunting rights so they could use them for profit. They knew the University wouldn't develope desert arid land. You may find one, but I'd bet it'll be under an individuals control not the Un....Don
