Does anyone else here sleep in their truck? I was looking for a camper, but just couldn't get one just right......

I sometimes wish my lease wasn't right down the road, I remember deer camp as a kiddo.

There are air mattresses and tents made that will fit your truck bed. They are made to fit makes and models. If I had to sleep in my truck that's what I would do. Would be cheaper than a camper and can fold down and store easier.

I did when I was in college and didn't take a buddy. Wasn't too comfortable in a 98 regular cab Silverado but the cabin was haunted so I wast going in alone.
If I send my neighbors a text and ask them to give me feedback on my lawn and plant rye into a giant dong pattern, I'm probably going to get some less than positive feedback. Same goes here.

I did afew years ago about 4 times for one night each trip, we hunted about 2.5 hours from home and would wake up extra early to go hunt one am and then stay the night in the truck and come back sundays. That sucked all but once and I drove about 400 yards straight down a pipeline from the camp when we woke up in the truck and it was 26 outside and sat in the truck for the morning hunt and let my cousin smoke a doe and 2 pigs out of the window all within about 45 minutes.

I sleep in the back of my Land Cruiser. I roll out an air mattress, throw a sleeping bag down and snooze away.

No. If I want to get a bad nights sleep and wake up with a sore back I'll stay home and let my 6 & 8 yr old daughters crawl in bed between me and the wife.

Used to as a kid in kerrville, blow up air mattresses, and lots of blankets. Dad would fire up the single burner stove in the morning to warm it up a bit.
We have a cabin now, lease is an hour away, so some day trips, lots of overnighters

Layed out here in the back of my suburban at camp now. The other three guys are sleeping in a hotel. Windows down, nice cool breze blowing through the windows. Before i got another burb i crashed in my truck all the time, it's why I eneded up buying another burb for hunting and fishing. I do like having the roof, but nothing wrong with looking at the stars while trying to go to sleep.

Man, I sleep in my truck all the time. I have a camper, but since the "BIG V-8" is my wifes soccer mom vehicle, I dont take it to the lease, not too comfortable leaving it out there, and wife refuses to let me take her vehicle for more than a few hours at a time.
Sooooo, I get to sleep in the cab of my truck. I drive a 2003 Ford Ranger V6, extended cab, and I am 6'4 and 240lbs. Now wrap that around your noodle for a bit.

I live 8 miles from camp and still sleep in the back of my truck on a twin mattress. Of course it is opening weekend and we are drinking lots of beer and eating big arse steaks. Good luck everyone, except BMD. Lol. I hope little hammer hammers one.

Does anyone else here sleep in their truck? I was looking for a camper, but just couldn't get one just right...... Up until 3 years ago, I would either sleep in the bed of my truck or in the cab depending on the weather. Got a old camper a while and it's nice to have the extra room. Still thrown down an air matress and sleeping bag in the back of the truck on nice nights. Just seem to sleep better.

I have slept in the truck a couple of times, but I would find me a cheap used tent if I made staying at a lease a habit.

Mine is a 56 x 16 singlewide with central heat/air, hot water, shower, full kitchen, and watching the hunting channels on the satellite TV. Yeah, I like roughing it.
