64 degree here in Red River Co. At 01:00 this am it was almost as bright as daylight, cameras show them feeding at night.

One of the slowest Opening Days I can remember in East Texas. Bet I didn't hear more than a dozen shots all morning. I hunted public land and saw four doe. Only one doe taken on two private tracts.

I heard only 5 shots before 9 am. Last year it was around 20. Is it because it is warmer this year than last, more browse is available, both or neither?

Didn't get one yet, but saw a hog then a doe. Later saw 2 more doe. The feeder is at least 150yds. The 2nd pair of does started at the feeder then started heading my way. I'm not even trying to conceal myself that hard. I'm sitting in a chair and am behind a small bush.
I'm not sure I even want to shoot a doe but she kept coming. I swear the next I know she must be 20 yds away max looking right at me. I decide she must want me to take her, but my rifle isn't in my hands. She gave my an opportunity to get the rifle which I do, but she has turned and is slowly walking away. Next I know she flees.
If that happens again.....
