My wife’s dad has been a duck hunter for close to 60 years and since he made her go as a kid she hates it know. She gives me some crap about going but most of the time she’s good about it. We worked it out. I go hunting in the morning and then take the kids in the afternoon to give her some time.

My fiance likes to dove and duck hunt. However the whole getting up at 2 to hunt public is not her cup of tea. She also has to work every Saturday now through Jan and I know she isn't going to get up that early on her one day off during the week.

However, our deal was that when we got engaged, I could get a boat. Also, when we buy a place here in a few months, as long as she has 10 acres for her horses, I can turn the rest into a nice pond / wetlands. Torn between a boat and finding a place with 15-20 acres.

Mine says that's your thing and to have fun. She just gets a lil anxious on the hunts that are 3 to 5 days at a time. Loves to fish though. Gotta love them. The sandwich comment is freaking hilarious though.

I can't complain about mine she loves when hunting season comes around and doesn't complain much as long as i obey the rules. dont talk about the specifics of the hunt all she wants to know is if i shot anything and don't interrupt dinner or one of our conversations to answer a call from a buddy to talk about hunting. as long as she doesn't know either occured she is happy happy happy

Of all the hundreds of hunting and fishing trips I have done, it never once dawned on me to ask for permission.....from either of my ex wives.

My wife is the same way. She does not get it at all. She likes it when we all go fishing as a family but that's about it.

Sees my hobbies as time consuming and expensive..lol

But she lets me do them anyway and I only catch flack if I go overboard and deserve it.

Still have to keep priorities in order and my faith and then family come first always.
