I bought a new road feeder. My old one is low to the ground on my Polaris Ranger. Now the new one I have is too small. Now I have two road feeders that don't quite work (not cheap). The new one says 50lbs but, I forgot I add Milo to my mixture for the turkeys. This wasn't a problem on the old cheap on since it held about 75lbs of corn but the new more expensive one hold 50lbs and not a penny more.

Does anyone know of a good road feeder to use on the rear of a ranger that is high enough, big enough, and sturdy. Also, I guess I need to sell the ones I have to pay for it too so, if you need some road feeders let me know.

If your ranger has a receiver hitch. get some square tubing and build a bracket to come out of the receiver to raise your feeders up. I also believe all seasons makes one. Another option would be to mount it to side wall of bed. I have a buddy that bolted theres to the side of the bed.

check with Elusive Wildlife in Conroe. they carry bigger feeders. http://www.elusivewildlife.com/products.htm?section=22&p=productMore&iProduct=77 they also sell the bracket for the receiver hitch if you don't weld or need ideals if you do. http://www.elusivewildlife.com/products.htm?section=22&p=productMore&iProduct=79

my friend uses the smaller 50 lb all season feeder on his ranger. he added/bolted blocks of wood to the bracket that hang over the tailgate so it would sit up higher.

Here the way we did the roadfeeders on the Mules. We put an angle iron support around the top of the bed and bolt it to the bed. We then attached an angle iron the frontside of the feeder to bolt to the angle iron on the bed. We had to adapt the All Season reciever hitch with a smaller insert to fit the Mule Receiver. These pics show the game carrier mounted on it also. I usually took it off my Mule and carried on top of the roof of the Mule.

Works on my Ranger. Of course I have a 2 inch Reciever on the front.
