My boss has a Richards 224 TTH that he is trying to find some info on. He's trying to find someone to reload some shells but we can't find much info on anything about the gun. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Might pm chadtrg on here he loads custom ammo.

I do know the round is just the 6mm REM necked down to .224 diameter and is usually twisted to run the heavier for caliber bullets.

Tgreen, Send me an email with the bullet you would like to shoot, and I can send yo some pricing. chad at dallasreloads dot com.

I can get Remington 6mm Rem brass, and then neck it down to .224. I just need to know what bullet you want, and how many rounds. Just FYI, the more rounds you buy, the cheaper the per round price gets. I'll need to get a die to neck these down.

Thanks, dee!

Chad

Chad is the man no doubt for custom loads.

Most 224TTH that I have seen which are not that many have a 1:8 twist barrel for use with heavier for caliber bullets. The best by far I have used on deer are the 75gr Swift Sirocco bullets. I run them at 3200fps from a 22-243 and they have worked great in close and at longer ranges, have yet to recover one, but I do like a bullet that causes a lot of damage and still exits.

Good round the 224TTH, thought a few years ago it might make it to SAAMI standard but that has yet to happen.
