 What will be your firearm choice for Opening Weekend?

With a good chance of rain expected, I've opted for the Remington .270 because it's more of a knock-about gun than my Browning Medallion. And while the Browning is a much lighter (.243) rifle to carry, I just may need a little more kick and wider margin for error, given that it's Opening Weekend.

I'll be using my Weatherby 25.06 this year. I have a nice Remmy 700 in .270 that works great but I figured I'd change it up this year for the heck of it. If those two won't work then there's always this:

I like using a .17hmr. I hear that you can kill anything in Texas with it with the right shot placement...

Leavin my browning .270 in the safe an taking my remington model 700 bdl in .243 that i got from my grandpa who passed last year. after he died grandma gave it to me so i am taking him with me to the stand

Sako 270 and Bowtech Assassin with Grim Reapers. Goal is a coon in the face with the 270 and a doe with the Grim Reapers.

I'll be using an old Winchester Model 94 30-30. I recently bought a property and last weekend was my first opportunity to set up a feeder and stand. I broke a bone in my right forearm doing so. So I'll be using a relatively short range rifle instead.
