I've been hearing the bucks are chasing out around young county. Anybody know if this is true?

A couple of bucks sparring on camera, but as of last weekend, they were still hanging out together.

I hunt on the edge of Young/Stephens county. We have had several nice bucks on cam and from what I can see, they have started to break up from the bachelor groups and are moving alone. I have seen a couple young eights chasing but nothing like it will be in a couple weeks.

I don't think it's kicked in high gear at least not for the bigger ones. I generally start seeing those guys on camera starting in the 1st week to 2nd week of rifle season. The weather has been too warm IMO to get them really going yet. I would say next weekend with some colder weather should get them really going.

Out for a PM hunt last night and AM today. Nothing last night as the wind laid down but it was really warm. Had a yearling buck at the feeder and corned roads this AM for over an hour. Only deer I saw before the wind picked but and it hit 75. Did some work around the lease and headed home. Lease is near Woodson.

Hunted Friday morning for last bow chance, had 2 yearlings a nice 6pt and a decent 9pt come to feeder with nose down and pushing the yearling around. The 9pt was grunting and keeping the young ones moving. Sat-Sun went to gun stand seen nothing but a couple doe's each sit and no bucks around them at all. I hunt in just outside of Olney (youngcounty) Everybody seen deer, but none was shot.

All I had chasing was the young ones. On my place in NW young county, the rut is not here as of opening weekend of rifle season, but the bucks are now alone, no more groups.

Killed a decent 10 pt Saturday morning. He was alone and just moving. Had a small 8 come to feeder Saturday night, but just fed and was not on a mission. No one on the lease saw any rutting action but the bucks seem to be moving better in daylight hours that before. Hunt south of Graham.
