I know there are tons of new burger places in DFW. I've been making my rounds trying one from everywhere, on lunch breaks and the weekends.
My favorite so far is Peace Burger off 114 and 360. The place is practicly a dive bar that serves the best food for super cheap. I pay $5 for my burger, and most places would have charged at LEAST $10 for. Hell, I'd pay at least $10 if they asked

Fred's Cafe in Fort Worth. We have driven all of the way from Rowlett before just to eat their burgers. Don't forget the taco fries.

Chubby's, they have several locations, but the one near my office closed. Bummer. They have good food and Chubby Chicks too. Oh, cold beer.

"The Rack" in Burleson south of Ft Worth on I35. Range fed beef, you can also get venison quesadillas there.

Well, if we're gonna take a road trip for a burger, just go straight to Meers, OK and get a seismic burger. None better.

My wife and I hit Meer's on the way back from dropping our son off at SWOSU several years ago after seeing it on the Food Network. We weren't impressed. I think the location (in the middle of nowhere) and ambiance is really cool. But the burgers are a little over hyped. JMO

Chubby's Burger Shack on the west side of Ft Worth makes decent burgers. Prefer Chubby's at the new location on Cherry Lane and Camp Bowie-chub caps (breaded and fried jalepeno slices) and fried pickles are on the menu, beers are cold and the Chubby Girls are hot.

Liberty Burger makes a pretty good burger. Their onion rings might be the best I've ever had.

Maple & Motor Burgers/Beer 4810 maple Ave. Dallas 214-522-4400 Some of the Best in Dallas along with really cold beer! I also like Meers Burgers but don't get up that way much anymore. Twisted Root just sounds PAINFUL!!!

Maple & Motor, Angry Dog and Jake's are all solid burgers. I also had a good one at Flying Saucer Lake Ray Hubbard a few days ago.

Maverick Truck Stop at 20/281 Stephenville/Mineralwells exit hands down best burger I've had in a while. And I eat lots of burgers. Everything else is perty darn good also. For those with endless stomachs try the Boone n Crocket burger. Two patties, smoked sausage, bacon, and a fried egg crammed between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches

There are no double burgers, you get one big old school burger. There's a good variety though. There are 2 taco joints next door(same owner, on menu), I hear the brisket tacos are great also. It's a dive, but the food is well above twice the price 95% of the time
