Tommy Im with ya brother, I've been keeping my eyes an ears out for veteran hunts. Loads of great people out there that want to take a disabled vet hunting. Just gotta do a bit of work looking for them. I know this section of the forum is for disabled hunters but i think they should add a dedicated thread in this section just for hunts for disabled veterans.

My program has been taking Soldiers and Disabled Veterans hunting for years. We are called Hunting with Soldiers. I am a Disabled Veteran myself and I know how the VA is. They think they can cure everything with meds. Sometimes getting back into the outdoors is the best medecine you can have. People have to realize that sometimes our Soldiers come home with unseen wounds and getting back into the outdoors is exactly what they need.

Your exactly right Father, any time i talk about my reintegration into civilian life i tell people that Heroes On the Water saved my life and that's truth. If it wasn't for HOW and fishing i don't know where i would be. Now Im looking to give a rty to getting back on the trigger and seeing how that will do for me. Father of 4,BULLSEYE-you are absolutely correct.in may of 2000,my world came crashing down around me because of PTSD.Ive been on VA meds ever since.I am dead in this life unless I can be productive.Im not asking FOR help,Im asking TO help.What gave my life purpose was my wife and kids,I taught them to swim in the frio river,how to handle firearms safely,to read sign,and the code of the outdoors.Could you tell me more about Hunting with soldiers.Thanks.Tom
