At Whitney Corps. they go around and pull down stands and leave a note on the tree and you can come by and pick them up at there office for a few to get them back and what is not claimed they have an auction for them after the season

I hunt public land. The same general area as a federal and state GW. They put cams on feeders and catch who puts them out. I've also taken down stands and hid them in brush. Never very far away from where I found them. Just hid well enough to make them think twice about leaving it up.

My buddy and I hunted the COE land at Grapevine a few years ago. We put a lot of time and effort into scouting and finding a few good spots for deer season and it turns out that some jack-wagon jerk face came in and spread corn along the dirt road right where I was going to hunt. You CANNOT bait in that area and so that place was dead to me. We saw more corn near a tree stand with ladder there and corn leading from the road to the stand. What an idiot! I was praying that they would catch him. Just follow the rules so it is fair for everyone.

I remember when I used to hunt Whitney years ago there were a few wooden stands/blinds in the area near Lofer's Bend.
