I shot a really nice aoudad this weekend outside Junction and I am looking for a good taxidermist around the area to take him. I am wanting to do the mount that shows both front legs standing on a rock. I have the cape and head in the freezer at the ranch and want to take it in next week to get it started.He has really good beard and chaps and was 30 inches with 13 inch bases. Great ram. I am not familiar with the area so I can't recommend a taxidermist from personal experience, but I hear Rhodes (if the spelling is correct) brothers taxidermy in kerrville does great work.

Nice ram! Congrats! Gary at Rhodes Brothers Taxidermy in Kerrville would be able to take care of you. He is TOPS. Their showroom is pretty amazing. I have had work done by Rhodes in Kerrville and it was top notch. Gary is a good guy to deal with and he takes pride in his work.

I used Gary at Rhodes Bros, he has my axis right now. We have had land in Junction for 17 years and haven't ever seen an audad, nice ram!
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

eagle eye in junction is no longer open
but if you want to use Rhodes, brothers, he picks up from kimble processing regularly.
a mount with the full front legs is a half body mount and that is pricey.
Rhodes has my aoudad right now, we are going with a wall pedestal mount with rocks and grass added to it. it captures all the chaps (more than a shoulder mount) but not the actual front legs. it was around $1000 while the half body mount was over $2500.
