I am taking a friend of mine out dove hunting this Friday, and was wondering if anyone knows of any good places to go around the SA area. My fall-back place is down in Karnes County around my parents place, but seeing as he is coming from Austin, i was wondering if anyone knows of any places around SA so that i can shorten his drive a bit. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Texas Wild ran by David Smith is a top notch outfit. I hunted with them for years before going out on my own. He will find the doves if there are any.

CPO, yes i agree with the recomendation of Texas Wild with David Smith. I did some day duck hunts at his place and he was always easy to work with and honest outfitter.

If you are talking about Texas Wild you can google pearsall chamber of commerce and they are listed as a outfitter.

I am having a bit of difficulty getting into their website...every time i try, it says that the link is broken...i am able to go to other sites, but have not been able to get into the site for Texas Wild. The Nooner Ranch is an awesome hunt...did a charity hunt with them through Guadalupe Radio, the Catholic Radio Station for San Antonio that allowed clergy and seminarians to hunt with them for free....it was an awesome hunt...there were some many doves the problem was picking which one to shoot at and keeping the gun loaded....lol i am gonna be taking my buddy down into Karnes County this time and maybe another time will be able to try some of the other places being mentioned here....if someone can check to see if it is my computer or there is something wrong with the Texas Wild site, that would be great to at least get their contact info up on here

I just checked and I had the same problem. I will see if I can find the number for you. We hunted with them for 9 years, each year we did a 3 day hunt. We usually limited out 2 of the 3 days. There was never a lack of birds.
