Shot this guy within 15 minutes of getting in the stand Friday evening. Had a 10" beard and 1" spurs. This guy chased off 4 does who were trying to come into my feeder. This guy I shot at 1:30 in the afternoon when he walked by my travel trailer. I didn't shoot a deer yet but had plenty of opportunties. Just waiting on the right one.

Congrats on the tom. Great to see the deer finally have some green to eat before winter sets in. Nice healthy racks. What county?

Crosby county. Planted that wheat right before a decent rain the other day. Probably won't last long with the activity it is getting.

Hey stxranchman, how good is cotton for deer(nutrition wise)? We have 80 acres of cotton on this place and they love it. I saw 17 does and fawns out in it the other day. They hit the cotton even though there is wheat right next to it.

That coyote was only about half grown and looked to be going from his summer coat to winter coat. He looked pretty bad but not mangy. I'm not picky on my yotes though. Big or small, pretty coat for mange, they all go down.
The Tom was one of three that came in. This one was the biggest. The other two had about 8 to 9 " beards. I saw a lot of turkeys on this trip.
