Love the show. Hate that all there calls and gear have gone up in price though. $60 for a gun case and $100 for a blind bag. Good clean tv.

[quote=ishootspoonies]its absolutly staged. if you do a google search, there is no such thing as "Willies Wine." In the wine episode, the "expert" is actually the owner of the vineyard.
that being said, its better entertainment than most shows on tv. ill be watching. [/quote
They actually did have duck commander wine about 6 yrs ago. They featured it at a wine dinner at one of our local nicer restaurants. Mallard merlot was one they served. All the waiters were in camo. Not sure if its still around, if not, then that whole episode was staged based on what they had done in the past.

Yeah I think the show is junk. I've seen a few episodes, well started a few, and can't get into it. There's always that one guy Yeah, I just don't buy into it. I've never been a fan of that kind of tv show. But, if pseudo reality shows are your thing then, by all means, knock yourself out brother.

I love a good comedy, and the show is defiantly funny. I think they should change the name to the “Jase and SI Comedy Show” because without them the show would not be funny

I got a laugh out of the kids shooting at the decoys out of the playhouse duck blind. Other than that, I found this thread more entertaining.

If I were to be forced to say it, I'd say Jase ans Si are the best part of the show.

Jase and Si's respective commentary makes the whole the whole thing worthwhile.

Sure its staged. But its the only show the old lady will watch other than housewives of every city in north America. It's way better than housewives.
I don't carry change, but I love breaking bills!

It is actually a show that my young daughters can watch with me except for the teen love stuff.
They love the outdoors and the kids like comparing their beards to mine.
Willy is the only one I don't care for on the show mainly as a hold over from Duck Commander and the fact that he didn't hunt very much. If he keeps up the self deprecating humor I might change my mind.

I think its pretty entertaining and the wives are cute. Plus I like that there is actually a show on tv that always ends with a prayer and a family meal. Nice to real values being shown on tv even if most of it is staged.

IMO - I think some is staged, some is ad-libbed - but I am like most on here - it's funny, and more entertaining that some of the other crap on tv. I don't think there is one reality show on tv that is not staged and scripted....so, with that thought - Duck Dynasty is at least done well and the show is funny.
Got to meet Jase at the FT. Worth TTH Expo this year - and yep, he's the same guy as you see in the show. Really nice, very personable, and down to earth.
I don't miss an episode - I like all of the characters, but Si the most because he's a way out there and a unpredictable. Jase is a close second because he's just funny.

I do think most of it is scripted but I seriously doubt they have a script for Si, you just cant write some of the things he says.
