So Duck Dynasty is coming back on tonight. I know we have talked about the show on here some. I am very surprised on how many non-duckhunters watch and really enjoy the show. I was just wondering what all of your thoughts are as far as how much is staged, good or bad for our sport, if you enjoy it. . . etc.
Do you think they planned to have the show air again so close to duck season on purpose?

Like 98% of todays TV I believe it is primarily staged, that being said I do get a kick outta ole Unlce Si. I watch it from time to time and think it is neither helpful or harmful to our sport. they really dont do any duck hunting on the show

its absolutly staged. if you do a google search, there is no such thing as "Willies Wine." In the wine episode, the "expert" is actually the owner of the vineyard.
that being said, its better entertainment than most shows on tv. ill be watching.
I like spoonie, his humor is dryer than my duck lease.

Of course a lot of it is staged. I don't think it effects the sport a whole lot. However my girlfriend has taken a lot of interest into duck hunting, and the show might have a little to do with that. She loves it. I think it's pretty funny myself.
