Anyone have any luck in Foard county since bow season opened? I'm hunting 8000 acres western part of foard, eastern part of cottle and am seeing some 5-6 year old mid 50's type deer. Nothing bigger than that and I suspect due to lack of moisture last few years that if you can harvest a 50 or 60 class buck, you are doing real good. Deer look healthy, just still a little weak in the antlers.
How come everybody I meet is a deer hunting expert?

Our does numbers are down and like most said a little weak in the bone. We are halfway between Crowell and Paducah as well. Also, as a side note, anyone know who in Crowell is buying the hogs? We left a 300 pounder headless a couple weeks back in the pasture and found out he was worth some dough to the people in the north.

We haven't ever had to many does but this year has been very slow, out of 8 hunts during bow season I've only seen a few deer but, have had several good bucks on TC at night. I have noticed new rubs around most of the feeders and with the cold front coming this weekend maybe things will pic up.

Foard/Cottle update: Found 1 mid 60's buck on trail cam and only 1 pic of him, but that is not surprising. Of the 4 large bucks I have killed, I had zero trail cam pics prior to killing the bucks. I had seen two of them previously on the hoof, but no pics. I do have 3 or 4 nice 150" class, 5.5+ yr old deer on trail cams also. Again, this year looks better than last, but I am certain the horns are still suffering from lack of rain. Oh yeah, not many fawns either for the second year in a row; not good for 4, 5 or 6 years down the road.
