the shot you are seeing in the pictures was the finishing shot. the first shot was on the other side and did not pass through. it hit him a little far back, but it was a quartering away shot. perfect height, and from the blood color, it got liver, but also are confident it got one long. The arrow fell out after a while of dazed walking in the field, and when we found it the first night, the BH and 4" of arrow had broke off in him. The arrow shaft was full of blood, we think it hit the front off shoulder and didn't make it through. As we were skinning him, the piece of arrow fell out around his front off sholder area. He didn't have much left when we found him, hardly moved as I approched to put the second shot in him. I think he was close to dead then.

Got a rough score (bad tape) of 140...gonna measure him later today with a good tape and see how it comes out. That deer is well over 140". I guessed 154" and no way I'm off 14",,,Not unless your a midget,,
