This is a picture of my father and the first deer he killed in 1959 near Lufkin, TX. Man, did he love to hunt/fish and everything that came with camp life.. I still use those antlers for rattling! I lost my best friend(dad) 3 yrs ago to cancer, and today he would've been 73.. The picture below his is a nice buck I took just last weekend with my bow.. I hope that I'll have the same relationship with my boy as I did with my pops!! Thanks for viewing.

I lost my dad this past year, this upcoming season will be the first deer season in the last 31 years that he and I will not be physically in the stand together. We will be together in spirit and I am going to continue the tradition with my kids and hopefully create the same relationship with them that I have with my dad.

Lost mine in 2009 the week before opening day. I still feel his presence in the cabin that we built. Great photo great memories

That is a great picture of your dad with an exceptional buck for sure. Sorry to hear about his passing. Sounds like you two had a very good relationship and no doubt he walks with you every step you take today..........especially in the brush!
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

My dad is 73 and loves to deer hunt and drink beer. Glad I still have him.
If you keep your hair short and your mouth shut, things tend to run a lot smoother.
