 First buck with my bow!

Hunted all weekend with lots of activity every sit! I had this buck come in on Saturday morning and couldn't get a shot. Back in the blind on Sunday morning and he came in with 3 other bucks. After watching and waiting, he presented me with a 20 yard quartering away shot. Being 15 feet in the air, the shot looked a little high! I backed out and gave him some time! Found him 150 yards away in heavy brush. Shot was just a little high and very little blood trail was picked up. We tracked him by site, ie. broken limbs, and long strides in footprints. I feel super lucky to have been able to take this buck for my first buck kill with my bow! What a crazy morning of emotions for me! Exhilarating, and yet very nervous and upset! Then the absolute joy as we stumbled upon him in the brush! He isnt a giant by most standards, but a trophy for me!

That's a big ole 8 point. I have to hand it to you for holding off for a good shot. A lot of rookies will take a marginal shot if they think the deer is "getting away". COngrats on a fine trophy which happens to be you first buck by bow!

Anyone have any experience with Puma Taxidermy in Weatherford? My Taxidermist has had some things come up in the past, so he is out of commission. I obviously want this guy mounted, and was hoping to use someone local.
