Went out this afternoon looking to take my first deer with a bow. The weather was great but there was nothing moving. Just a few minutes before the end of LST, I started to hear noise coming from behind me. I could not see what it was and it was taking its sweet time making it over to my position. Well finally this guy walked directly under my tree stand and headed for the feeder. I had to check my phone to see if I was still legal to shoot......2 minutes left. Luckily he was already turned for a shot and I let one fly. I hit him a bit far back, but with the angle I made it deep into the vitals. He only made it 20-30 yards. This is my first deer with a bow and best buck to date. He was very heavy bodied and old and didn't have any teeth left. He will absolutely be up on the wall.

Nice Two Minute buck. Is that an extra brow tine curly-queing back over his head? Will make an impressive mount, especially if you angle his head down & to the right to show the extra brow.

Yeah he did have a crazy kicker off the back. I am not sure if that would be considered another beam or just a kicker.  And yes YoteHunter, my heart was going crazy. I have shot at 1 other deer with my bow and it was a clean miss. That with the fact that I hadn't seen anything till so late....I was really pumped up.
